Half term Pottery Club

Mondays and Wednesdays: Reception – Year 5
Time: 3:15–4:15 PM (Term time only)

A fun, hands-on pottery club for primary school children. Through creative making and mindful play with terracotta clay, children build confidence, focus, and self-expression in a calm, supportive environment.

Each term builds on the last, developing a skill that grows with them, teaching stillness, emotional regulation, and a lifelong love of making.

What They’ll Learn:

• Hand-building techniques: pinch, coil, and slab
• Shaping, joining, smoothing, and finishing skills
• One guided pottery wheel experience (exploration-focused)

Important Information:

• Children will be given an apron, but clay can be messy. Please send them with an old jumper or oversized hoodie to wear over their uniform.
• A small snack (e.g., fruit) is allowed at the start, in line with school policy. No food or drink during the session.
• If your child has any allergies, medical conditions, injuries, accessibility needs, or additional support requirements, please email us in advance so we can ensure a safe and inclusive experience.
